The beauty of the ancient village and its open-mindedness are deeply admired. Simple gardens with bamboo fences and ponds in each courtyard add poetry to the villagers' lives. Some houses have hidden streams running through them, making the air fresh.

The old man and old woman sit on stone benches under the shade of a tree, chatting leisurely. A big yellow dog lies by their side, looking at passersby lazily. Birds chirp in the branches above. Old paintings hang on walls inside homes made of real wood furniture set up like antiques.

Walking along the creek's path brings us to Liqian's streets and alleys built along creekside or mountainsides in Ming-Qing styles with powder-colored walls and grey tiles that seem endless before our eyes as if they were part of a painting unfolding inch by inch.

Influenced by Huizhou culture, almost every corner has buildings showcasing this style with intricate designs that blend well into natural settings while maintaining architectural integrity; flexible layout scales create infinite variations; rich spatial structures utilize space creatively.

Carvings in stone, wood or bricks showcase skillful craftsmanship; eaves-shaped windows pillars made from stones form an integral part of traditional architecture elements such as "mahead" walls adorned with small blue tiles reflecting cultural heritage values present throughout these dwellings sealed off within firewalls surrounding residential areas where front yards precede entrance halls behind which lie grand halls deepening into family compounds housing numerous descendants who have expanded their living spaces over generations resulting in 36 courtyards & 72 window ledges according to local lore about Liqian Village founded for Li clan members residing there since long ago
